Stop Acting Crazy And Just Let Dylan Sprouse Show You To Your Table

Amanda Bynes starts a fire in some poor ladies driveway, Lindsay Lohan has been in and out of jail and rehab more times than I can count (it is cool though, because she has been scared straight and is turning her life around. We are rooting for you LINDSAY!) and people are making a big deal about former child star, Dylan Sprouse, working a "normal" job as a host at a restaurant?

What is the world coming to that normal behavior among "celebrities" makes them crazy?

Here is the thing, Dylan Sprouse (and his twin brother Cole Sprouse) are 21-year-old college students. They opted out of transitioning into adult roles (meaning, playing child/teen roles when you are actually an adult) and instead headed to New York to to live a normal college life of social media addictions, studying, working, and playing video games.

Instagram "Whoops! Sat on my brother! LUL #duckface #brother #cute #friday #whoopssaturday #sitting #accident #lolstagram #selfies! #puppies"

I applaud the Sprouse brothers for thus far avoiding scandal, even though they spent the entirety of their childhood and teen years in the mixed up world of Hollywood. The fact that these two, at 21-years-old, are without a criminal record, questionable video or photo, and have not visited rehab is pretty impressive and I think that sort of responsibility deserves a promotion to manager!

Dylan did take to Tumblr to respond to the circulating photos and rumors that he was in some financial situation or must have hit rock bottom to be working at a restaurant!
So many pictures have gotten out that I’m now working as a host at a restaurant in NY. To clear up the air (which is admittedly pretty rude), I did not take this job because I “lost all my money”, I am financially secure, and took this job as a way to primarily feed my over bountiful video game addiction. I also too this as a way to try a new experience, working somewhat below the means I’m used to, as well as a way to socialize and get out of the house. I feel most comfortable when I’m working and doing something, to criticize someone of that is pretty odd. I will potentially return to acting someday, but in no way do I think any experience is a step down for me, but rather a new step in another direction.

Of course, the Daily Mail reports (and by reports, I mean speculates based on absolutely no evidence) that "Former Disney star forced to deny he's broke after being photographed working as restaurant host, saying the job allows him to 'get out of the house'"

Here is the thing that bothers me about this story, aside from him having a job at a restaurant, what is your proof that he is broke? A look at any of his social media accounts Twitter, Tumblr or Instagram, present Dylan as a both a fun loving jokester who loves video games and is pursuing a degree in it, he is a self-proclaimed "Child actor who didn't do meth" and an astute observer of media and a critic of media/Hollywood and the role it plays in our society. All in all, he seems pretty well balanced and level headed. There is no evidence that would somehow insinuate he is struggling in his choice to not pursue acting, so stop the gossip Daily Mail and do some actual research next time. Social media is a goldmine!

You know who else ditched Hollywood for college, and turned out alright? My future husband, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. And explained his decision and the smartest thing he has ever done: "I just wanted to, sort of, do a normal-kid college thing, and I moved here to New York, I went to Columbia, and didn’t act for, like, two years. And it was one of the smartest things I’ve ever done, I think, actually."

And look at Mr. JGL, big time actor, writer AND director (triple threat!) with his new movie Don Jon.

Who knows, Dylan Sprouse might be the JGL of the '00 Disney Tweens.

If you are one of those Disney Tweens, hoping to make dreams come true with Mr. Sprouse, I recommend this little read, Dylan Sprouse pretty much outlines how NOT to act if you want to date him. Read it. Study it.

Lindsay Lohan Thinks Amanda Bynes Is Getting Off Easy

Lindsay Lohan, my generations example of what can go wrong with child stars, recently took to Twitter to question the fairness of punishment for Amanda Bynes, who has now been charged with two misdemeanor counts of hit-and-run.

Poor Miss Lohan would like to know "Why did I get put in jail and a nickelodeon star has had NO punishment(s) so far? +"

I'll save the fancy lawyer talk for you professionals, but what I think Miss Lohan seems to forget is that we have a judiciary process in America and that one has the right to a trial. She seems to forget that she herself went through several trials before being sentenced to serve jail time.

Like Miss Lohan, Miss Bynes has been arrested (for DUI) and she even gave us this beautiful mugshot to document the occasion:

Rest assured, Miss Lohan, Bynes' day in court will come and, just as you did, she will get an opportunity to fight the charges. Don't start hating on her or screaming "injustice!" until the judge has ruled.

With role models like Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes, I can't believe I don't have a drinking problem and criminal rap sheet. These women are the same age as me, I adored them as a child and teenager (I even cut school one day with some friends to go to a live filming of The Amanda Show), so it is rather upsetting to watch this downward spiral, again.

Same disaster, different young woman.

"Sources" are now claiming that Bynes might have some mental health issues. TMZ scoured the WeHo gym Bynes frequents for professional personal opinions of her mental state. TMZ notes that "One person says Amanda came to the gym Thursday looking dazed and began speaking with herself -- making comments and then answering back."

TMZ reports that a second gym member explained "when Amanda was on the elliptical, she would stop suddenly and start 'laughing hysterically for no reason.' She did this periodically throughout her workout. This person says he's seen her dozens of times in the last few months, and says it's apparent her condition is "deteriorating."

Let us leave diagnosis of mental health issues to the professionals. Being a member of Equinox gym in West Hollywood does not make you a mental health professional.

Twitter Round Up: Miley Cyrus Parties With Adam Lambert

For the record, Miley Cyrus is my least favorite of the super-3 Disney tweens (I'm totally coining that phrase). However, she is always out and about doing something with someone so I can't help but post her business all up on here.

Here is Miley having fun with Mr. Adam Lambert at some event I know nothing about, but thanks to Twitter we can all pretend like it was some wild Hollywood party and pass the personal photo off as one of our own. "Oh yeah! Adam, Miley and I totally rocked that party, see this photo I took at the party? It's totally legit, we are like BFFs!"

But wait, there is more!!
Lindsay Lohan defends herself once again, John Stamos returns to Glee, Adam Lambert has some fun with Miley Cyrus, and Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift rock Asia.
