Matthew Lewis And His Mustache

Here is some Matthew Lewis mustache for your pleasure. Consider it my apology for the last two months of the silent treatment.

@Mattdavelewis
The moustache is in full flow tonight. Here he is doing his impression of Bill Paxton in True Lies. #sleazy pic.twitter.com/LT8n96Gz

I know it doesn't make up for the unexplained silence, but I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me.

And here is Mr. Longbottom Lewis showing off his new wheels
@MattdavelewisSaturday morning rehearsals. Having a wheely good time...pic.twitter.com/xJSFYf2X

"Wheely good time" hahahaha. I would say LOL, but I didn't actually laugh out loud, I laughed inside my head, so "hahahaha" seems more truthful. LIMH is also appropriate.

Bonnie Wright and Jamie Campbell Bower call off engagement

Great news for Harry Potter, Ginny Weasley is back on the market!

Bonnie Wright, who portrayed the youngest Weasley in the Harry Potter franchise, has called off her engagement to Jamie Campbell Bower, whom she met on the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I.

The couple announced their engagement in April 2011 but never set a date. Bower and Wright have both kept busy schedules since the engagement and it appears that might be the reason for the split. The two English actors have been playing the long distance game with Wright in America filming Shakespeare's Daughter, meanwhile Bower in England where he is preparing for his third franchise, The Mortal Instruments.

Let's not forget that Bower plays a Volturi in the Twilight Saga, so this Twilight/Harry Potter relationship was probably doomed from the start. Sparkly vampires and badass wizards are like water and oil, they don't mix.

It is always sad to see a couple fizzle out, especially when the couple looked so happy walking the red carpet together last year! Alas, young love is a fickle thing. With both of them pursuing the crazy life of an actor, it is no surprise that they are calling it quits.

Bonnie doesn't look to beat up over the split, last week she appeared relaxed and full of life on the New England set of Shakespeare's Daughter.

Wright also recently graduated from London College of Communication and in May she made a directorial debut in Cannes with an 11-minute short titled, Separate We Come, Separate We Go. Needless to say, Wright has probably had very little time to plan a wedding, let alone be in a relationship.

And, on the bright side, now we can continue to pretend that she and Daniel RadcliffeHarry Potter will live happily ever after together.

Tom Felton Can Pump My Gas Anyday

@TomFelton #oscarsdinner en route home with in'n'out pic.twitter.com/2LMS0GMy

A post-Oscars post to celebrate how attractive Tom Felton looks and to give a shout out to In'n Out.

No wins for Harry Potter, but at least we have Felton to cheer us up after this loss.

Tom Felton settles into life in Los Angeles

As you might recall, Tom Felton (the beautiful Brit who played villian Draco Malfoy in all the Harry Potter movies) has recently moved to America. Along with his pup Timber and girlfriend Jade, the three have been settling into life in Los Angeles.

I, of course, have been following his assimilation into American culture very obsessively via his Twitter feed and I figure now is a great time to share with you what I have gathered thus far.

So far, Tom has learned very important lessons:
1) Queen size sheets do not fit onto a King size bed regardless of how persistent you are at stretching the sheets.

2) It's good living with a girl because it means homemade cookies

3) With regards to size, "It's not how big it is, it's what you do with it."

4) There is little danger of an elevator dropping uncontrollably.

5) And, this is not a lesson so much as something that makes me happy, Felton and Radcliffe are still friends: Saw mr radcliffe last night, he played with timbers all night she absolutely loved him! can't wait to see #womaninblack who's seen it?x

In other Felton news,

and according to Deadline: "Tom Felton is in negotiations to star opposite Elizabeth Olsen and Glenn Close in Therese Raquin. Written and set to be helmed by acclaimed theater director Charlie Stratton, the film’s being produced by William Horberg and Mickey Liddell. Close is attached for the role of Madame Raquin, and Olsen for Therese, who, with her lover Laurent, murder her husband (Felton), a sick boy that Madame Raquin forced Therese to marry. After Therese later marries her true love, the couple is haunted by the ghost of the dead husband and it poisons their love into all-consuming hatred."

Luna Lovegood Is A Gryffindor

I know I have said it before, but I will say it again, Evanna Lynch is one awesome Harry Potter star/fan, and a worthwhile tweeter to follow.

Here is the most recent tweet that got me thinking, "why isn't Evanna Lynch my BFF?"
@Evy_Lynch That awkward moment when your bro asks you can he have your Gryffindor boxers. But he can't cos you're saving them for your future hubby. :o

Evanna Lynch, the actress who plays the eccentric and wise Luna Lovegood (a true Ravenclaw), is a Gryffindor. I absolutely support that. One of the comments to her tweet reads "@abandon_hip: @Evy_Lynch You're my favorite because you're just as big a Potterhead as the rest of us. <3" and it is true!

The advantage she has is that, as a star of the franchise, she gets to go to all the parties and premieres. I shall continue to live vicariously through her.

Tom Felton Is In Los Angeles!

Tom Felton is in L.A., y'all! You know what this means, right? There is a great deal of In 'n Out in Tom Felton's future...and perhaps mine as well.

Aside from my nephew learning to walk, this is the best news I've heard all week.

Tom and his pup, Timber, have made it safely to Los Angeles. Thank you very much, British Airways.

Tom Felton makes for an adorable worried parent. Via Twitter, he shared his anxiety of handing Timber over to British Airways, sought words of encouragement from fellow travelers with pets, and, after they landed, exhibited a great deal of stress over not knowing where she was once they landed.

Two hours after they landed, he tweeted: "So we landed safely 2 hours ago....but still no sign of timber! C'mon BA give me back my dog! Where is she?! getting v.anxious x" British Airways tried to settle his nerves by reassuring Tom that everything was going to be ok, "@British_Airways: @TomFelton Hi Tom. We understand your concern but please be patient. You'll be reunited with Timber soon."

Fortunately, the two were eventually reunited and Tom shared his gratitude to British Airways for taking such good care of her: "Thanks again @British_Airways for taking such good care of my dog over such a long journey! X"

His deep concern and love for his dog make him exponentially more attractive.

After a stressful day of travel, the two are now getting settled into their hotel which, according to Tom, is the "Best hotel ever!"

It's true, look what they made for Timber:

And here is the first-time traveler enjoying her first American meal.
@TomFelton Eager to report my hound is healthy and happy. She's living it up LA style, room service dog food. Boo yah indeed x

'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II' Gets Some Oscar Nods, But Not The Big One

Oscar nominations were just released and guess which movie didn't make the Best Picture category...Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II. There are 10 movies in that category, I mean the Academy is practically giving away the nods to everyone at that rate, but not to the magnificently produced and directed highest grossing film of 2011. I'm sure those other films are lovely movies that deserve the nomination; however, having seen none of the nominations, I can say with honesty that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II is the best movie I saw and thus deserves a nomination in my book. At least they have the People recognizing their talent!

On the bright side, the movie did get some nominations: Best Art Direction, Best Makeup, and Best Visual Effects.

And, because I love a reason a to talk about Tom Felton, let's transition. Planet of the Apes Rise of the Apes is also up for Best Visual Effects so yay to Mr. Tom Felton for being in 2/5 visually pleasing movies.

Today is a VERY big day for Mr. Felton. First Oscar nominations, and now he must anxiously prepare his dog Timber for her first plane ride! Check out Tom's adorable overreaction to the situation via Twitter:
Big day for my dog tomorrow @British_Airways please look after her! She's very timid & friendly and it's her first ever flight!
More than a little anxious about Timber's first flight tomorrow! Bless her all cooped up in a crate. She seems very relaxed about it all x
Thinking about fashioning and installing some sort of walkie talkie system between me and the crate, then I can talk to her on the flight! x
"timber this is your captain speaking. Please keep all paws inside the crate and all times,Refreshments will be served in the bowl"
"no iPods during take off or landing, I know what your like! If you need anything just bark. Enjoy the flight" x

Dog lovers everywhere are swooning right now. Heck, I'm not even a dog lover but I'm considering becoming one for Tom Felton. And, because no post complete without a photo, here is a picture of Tom's dog taken on a nice winter's day.

@TomFelton Lovely morning for a crisp Christmas morning walk. I Have sacrificed my scarf to a higher purpose :) x

Harry Potter Wins PCA And Daniel Radcliffe Hosts SNL

At the 2012 People's Choice Awards, the final movie of the Harry Potter franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II, won four awards including: Favorite Movie, Action Movie, Ensemble Cast, and Book Adaptation.

Interestingly enough, despite the four Harry Potter stars nominated in the under 25 category: Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and Tom Felton; the award went to the fifth nominee, Chloe Moretz. Well, you can't win them all. I suppose I'm glad none of the Harry Potter stars beat out the others because no one wants to see in-house fighting. Sadly, none of the fabulous four nominated attended the event and thus there are no photos from the event. Therefore, I'll just post this old Twitter picture of Tom Felton and Daniel Radcliffe from last summers U.S. promotions of DHPII.

Speaking of Daniel Radcliffe, did you all catch him hosting Saturday Night Live this last weekend? Thank Hulu, for Hulu, so you can easily watch the full episode and catch the Harry Potter jokes that will NEVER get old.

Highlights from the episode: 10 year epilogue featuring a stuck-in-the-past Harry Potter caught up in his glory days at Hogwarts, Buggy the cashier obsessed Target employee, and the You Can Do Anything sketch which accurately describes the problems with this generations self-obsessed children (yay us!). You can also catch Daniel Radcliffe kissing homeless bozos in a game of spin the bottle.

I can't get over how well adjusted and grateful the cast of Harry Potter is, makes me love the franchise even more.

In some other news, I've been obsessively dueling on Pottermore and am now ranked 8 in Gryffindor house, HOLLA!

Don't pretend like you aren't impressed.

It's 11/11/11 11:11, celebrate with Harry Potter!

In honor of DVD/blu-ray release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II (it's today, y'all!), some of the stars of the franchise are heading to Florida for a little family reunion.

Since I know most of you aren't in Orlando for the fabulous reunion, I bring you great news! You can watch the red carpet reunion from Wizarding World of Harry Potter, thanks to E!.

You can also check Twitter for pictures from some of the cast that will be at the event. My personal favorite is Evanna Lynch who plays Luna Lovegood. Not only is she a Pottermore Gryffindor which bascially makes us family, she is also appears delightfully entertaining and down-to-earth.

@Evy_Lynch Just got to the hotel!!! Look at all the free shit WB/universal gave me!!! Pottering myself out!!! #yeahfreeshit

See, even famous people love free stuff and get excited over Harry Potter merch. Evanna and I could totes be bff.

@Evy_Lynch I'm hooooooome!!!

I wish I was hooooooome!!! Alas, I shall live vicariously for now.

Here are some other tweets from her to support my statement of her being "delightfully entertaining and down-to-earth"

@Evy_LynchAnd Chamber of Secrets is on ABC. Aaaaaaand I'm totes watching it. You should all do likewise. #HarryPotterWeekend

@Evy_LynchApproximately 98% full of butterbeer. :) #IheartOrlando

AND, a final picture from Katie Leung (Cho Chang)

@kt_leung So...just popped along to the wand shop this afternoon. As you do

Have a great Harry Potter weekend! Do something fabulous for 11.11.11.

Emma Watson Sends Greetings From Oxford

You know I'm a sucker for Harry Potter related stories, and so here is another one specifically written just for me you.

Emma Watson is back to school. In March of this year, Emma announced she was taking a break from her studies at Brown to focus on her career. In celeb terms, this usually means, "peace out homies, school is for fools!" However, Ms. Granger Watson is having none of that and she is now back to her University studies. The setting has changed since Watson is beginning a semester abroad at Oxford, but she has stated she hopes to complete her studies at Brown.

A semester abroad? Who is this person, former-British child star worth millions OR typical college student?

Here is a message and photo shared by Emma via her official EmmaWatson.com website.

New Message from Emma
16 October 2011

To Everyone who is starting a New School Year, (sorry those who have been at school for a while Oxford starts late)

Just to say have a great term and good luck with all your work.
You might not hear from me for a while because I will be really busy studying but I wanted to just say hi and bye : )

Hope you all like 'My Week with Marilyn' and i'll keep you posted on 'Perks'.

Love Emma xx

Matthew Lewis In Vegas

I weep.

I had a productive Saturday spent promoting Issue 2 or The Gryffindor Daily Prophet (check it out) and restructuring the nargles out of the Showbiz Department. I was feeling pumped. I was like boom, boom, boom! *pats self on back* "CC, you are awesomebeans!"

With Midnight approaching, I set aside my work to have a quick peek at Twitter before calling it a night. *Enter sadness*

Twitter welcomed me with this tweet from MFH:

@Mattdavelewis: I'm in Las Vegas. Tonight I think we're hitting a club called Pure. Anybody been?
Tears erupt (metaphorically, that is).

Why? Why did I not see this tweet 6 hours ago when there was totes enough time to hop in my car and drive to Vegas for this stalking opportunity? Furthermore, why have I not been to Vegas in over a year? Where has life taken me?

So many questions to ponder.

Matthew Lewis Is My Future Husband

I've missed blogging.

Fortunately, one of my classes has just ended and suddenly my evenings have opened :D

So here is one of my favorite wizards to bring in this new wave of posts.

Don't you just melt when you see that half grin smile? So, My Future Husband (MFH) posts a lot about some British teams and sport I don't understand, but I have recently asked a Brit to translate the tweets so that MFH and I might share a bond over it, so I'll keep you posted. For now, let me explain that the picture is of him holding some cup/trophy that some team from some sport won. Capisci?

Notice that celebratory beer by his foot? That was accompanied by many more, me thinks, and my poor wittle Mafew woke up with a hangover. The night before presenting at an awards show is probably not the best night to party hard, but when your team wins how can you resist?

The next day Matt presented with Tom Felton at the British, Radio 1 Teen Awards. And after the event he tweeted the following:
Bloody hell, there were thousands of you. And you're really loud. I specifically told you I was hungover. Cheers for the reception though. X
Man, how I likey this one.

In other news, Matt took to Twitter last week to discuss puberty.
I'm still confused as to why people keep talking about me and puberty in the same sentence. I'm 22. Ta
Umm...duh, because those fake teeth in Harry Potter hid your post-puberty gorgeousness from us.

Matt continued by explaining: "No, no, no. Puberty made me greasy and miserable. At 14. The gym and my dentist were kind to me. At 22. Getz?"

And...since we are on the topic puberty...

Gryffindor Daily Prophet

Umm...not to like brag and stuff, but I wasn't lying when I said the Gryffindor Daily Prophet is awesome.

The site exceeded it's monthly bandwidth in just 24 hours and was temporarily shut down. No worries, we are up and running again with over 1600 hits in just three days :D

Come on....you know you want to...read it.

Gryffindor Daily Prophet

Great news guys, I have 663 points on Pottermore!!! I have been filling my freetime as of late brewing potions and tossing back Butterbeers at the Three Broomsticks, it has been a great mix of pressure/frustration and relaxation/good times. You all should totally try it. Pottermore is totes the hip site to be on...just saying.

In addition to brews and beers, I also found time to join the Gryffindor Daily Prophet. I strongly urge you all to check out the fabulous first issue, here. It is basically, like, AMAZING. It might take a little while to load, but it is there.

See if you can find my piece :D

Maggie Smith wins an Emmy

The Emmy's happened today and the lovely Maggie Smith walked away with an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries for her work in Downtown Abbey.

This is cause for celebration. Chocolate Frogs for everyone! And Butterbeers, all around!

Baby Gryffindor says, "Rawr!" Which roughly translated means: "We love you Professor McGonagall! Congratulations on the win!"

This win is very convenient as I was looking for a way to justify posting one of the adorable Gryffindor inspired pictures I took of my nephew.

Thank you Maggie Smith for making that possible. And you're welcome ahead of time for the smiles this picture induced.

Adele, New Girl, and Pottermore

So many fabulous guests!

Thank you, Momllr, for letting us enjoy Adele with you in St. Paul. Don't cha' know how fabulous you are?

Of course, thank you, The Soooz, for reviewing New Girl and the wonderful (though slightly flustering) evening we had at The Roosevelt.

Well friends, I received access to Pottermore so I might be obsessively involved with the Potter-world for awhile so let me know if you want to guest blog, *nudgenudge* *winkwink*

Just kidding. Well, only slightly.

Here is the deal, the site is fabulous and you should all join when it opens to the world in October. At times the journey seems a little lacking, just pretty graphics but no new information, and then you stumble upon one of the as of yet untold secrets of Harry Potter and you just fill with total excitement. J.K. Rowling is a fantastic story teller, and with Pottermore you begin to see more how detailed the lives of everyone of the characters are. No spoilers here, but the other day I teared up reading the "New from J.K. Rowling" note on Professor McGonagall.

Potter fans, get excited to discover even more about your favorite witches, wizards, and muggles.

Two Degrees Of Separation: Tom Felton

Me -> Jason Isaacs -> Tom Felton

Ok, I realize technically that connection doesn't count because I don't know Jason Isaacs I just got a really great close up view of him at a panel, but I don't care. I love my life.

Remember that time I posted from Comic-Con about the new NBC series Awake, starring Jason Isaacs? Let me refresh your mems:

The Awake panel was great, despite the noticeable absence of Tom Felton. We got to watch the pilot episode and it was great. Jason Isaacs plays a man lost between dream and reality when he is in an accident that kills his wife and/or son. He lives to lives, one in which his wife is killed and son survives, and the other in which his son is killed and wife survives. Unable to tell which is dream and which is reality, he struggles to come to terms with his situation. When he falls asleep in one life, he wakes up in the other. Meanwhile, he goes back to work as a detective and must see a psychiatrist to help him deal with the grief. The only problem is that he has a different psychiatrist in each life and both have very compelling arguments on why their storyline is real and the other a dream.

The show was quite exciting and compels you to watch more to find out where the line separating dream and reality exists.

Now you can watch the ah-maze-ing trailer for the show and get sucked into the story just as I did:

I've had it running for about the past 30 minutes on repeat in another window, this is my new obsession.

Teen Choice Awards 2011

The west coast feed just concluded, so now its time for some highlights from the TCA...

1) Fergie's look of disgust when hubby, Josh Duhamel, lost to Ashton Kutcher for Choice Movie Actor: Romantic Comedy. I love how the cameras always pan to losers after a winner is announced. You'd think people would be better prepared for that and hold their composure.

2) Ashton Kutcher's adivce to teens during his acceptance speech, "Don't ever charge anything on a credit card if you don't already have the money in the bank to pay for it." Truth. I wish more people had told me that. Also, I think high schools should be required to teach basic home economics to ALL students because I could have used some of that to prepare for the real world. Balancing a check book, using a stove, washing your clothes, etc. I know people that I went to college with who did not have these skills.

3) Seeing Taylor Swift and Ashley Greene seated next to each other during Emma Stone's presentation of Taylor Swift as "Ultimate Choice." And those two were acting like friends, hugging and holding hands. I bet the two and Demi Lovato have an "Exes of Joe Jonas" club; of course, Camilla Belle is probably not invited to that club.

4) Ellen Degeneres winning the award for Choice Comedian. I love that woman, and her wife, they are so funny. I'm declaring them my favorite lesbian couple.

5) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 taking the award for Choice Movie: Sci-Fi/Fantasy. Take that Twilight: Eclipse, you can't win them all. Here is a freindly picture of Tom Felton and Robert Pattinson at the TCA.

Changing the subject to something I don't understand, let's talk about Justin Bieber. I get that he has some talent and I totally have him on a mix CD in my car stereo (his song is strategically placed right after Selena Gomez's song, Rock God), but I totally don't understand his "white-boy thug" persona going on and his walking like he literally has a stick up his butt. Is that what teen girls are into these days?

Who was our generations Justin Bieber?
