Tom Felton Can Pump My Gas Anyday

@TomFelton #oscarsdinner en route home with in'n'out pic.twitter.com/2LMS0GMy

A post-Oscars post to celebrate how attractive Tom Felton looks and to give a shout out to In'n Out.

No wins for Harry Potter, but at least we have Felton to cheer us up after this loss.

Tom Felton settles into life in Los Angeles

As you might recall, Tom Felton (the beautiful Brit who played villian Draco Malfoy in all the Harry Potter movies) has recently moved to America. Along with his pup Timber and girlfriend Jade, the three have been settling into life in Los Angeles.

I, of course, have been following his assimilation into American culture very obsessively via his Twitter feed and I figure now is a great time to share with you what I have gathered thus far.

So far, Tom has learned very important lessons:
1) Queen size sheets do not fit onto a King size bed regardless of how persistent you are at stretching the sheets.

2) It's good living with a girl because it means homemade cookies

3) With regards to size, "It's not how big it is, it's what you do with it."

4) There is little danger of an elevator dropping uncontrollably.

5) And, this is not a lesson so much as something that makes me happy, Felton and Radcliffe are still friends: Saw mr radcliffe last night, he played with timbers all night she absolutely loved him! can't wait to see #womaninblack who's seen it?x

In other Felton news,

and according to Deadline: "Tom Felton is in negotiations to star opposite Elizabeth Olsen and Glenn Close in Therese Raquin. Written and set to be helmed by acclaimed theater director Charlie Stratton, the film’s being produced by William Horberg and Mickey Liddell. Close is attached for the role of Madame Raquin, and Olsen for Therese, who, with her lover Laurent, murder her husband (Felton), a sick boy that Madame Raquin forced Therese to marry. After Therese later marries her true love, the couple is haunted by the ghost of the dead husband and it poisons their love into all-consuming hatred."

Tom Felton Is In Los Angeles!

Tom Felton is in L.A., y'all! You know what this means, right? There is a great deal of In 'n Out in Tom Felton's future...and perhaps mine as well.

Aside from my nephew learning to walk, this is the best news I've heard all week.

Tom and his pup, Timber, have made it safely to Los Angeles. Thank you very much, British Airways.

Tom Felton makes for an adorable worried parent. Via Twitter, he shared his anxiety of handing Timber over to British Airways, sought words of encouragement from fellow travelers with pets, and, after they landed, exhibited a great deal of stress over not knowing where she was once they landed.

Two hours after they landed, he tweeted: "So we landed safely 2 hours ago....but still no sign of timber! C'mon BA give me back my dog! Where is she?! getting v.anxious x" British Airways tried to settle his nerves by reassuring Tom that everything was going to be ok, "@British_Airways: @TomFelton Hi Tom. We understand your concern but please be patient. You'll be reunited with Timber soon."

Fortunately, the two were eventually reunited and Tom shared his gratitude to British Airways for taking such good care of her: "Thanks again @British_Airways for taking such good care of my dog over such a long journey! X"

His deep concern and love for his dog make him exponentially more attractive.

After a stressful day of travel, the two are now getting settled into their hotel which, according to Tom, is the "Best hotel ever!"

It's true, look what they made for Timber:

And here is the first-time traveler enjoying her first American meal.
@TomFelton Eager to report my hound is healthy and happy. She's living it up LA style, room service dog food. Boo yah indeed x

'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II' Gets Some Oscar Nods, But Not The Big One

Oscar nominations were just released and guess which movie didn't make the Best Picture category...Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II. There are 10 movies in that category, I mean the Academy is practically giving away the nods to everyone at that rate, but not to the magnificently produced and directed highest grossing film of 2011. I'm sure those other films are lovely movies that deserve the nomination; however, having seen none of the nominations, I can say with honesty that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II is the best movie I saw and thus deserves a nomination in my book. At least they have the People recognizing their talent!

On the bright side, the movie did get some nominations: Best Art Direction, Best Makeup, and Best Visual Effects.

And, because I love a reason a to talk about Tom Felton, let's transition. Planet of the Apes Rise of the Apes is also up for Best Visual Effects so yay to Mr. Tom Felton for being in 2/5 visually pleasing movies.

Today is a VERY big day for Mr. Felton. First Oscar nominations, and now he must anxiously prepare his dog Timber for her first plane ride! Check out Tom's adorable overreaction to the situation via Twitter:
Big day for my dog tomorrow @British_Airways please look after her! She's very timid & friendly and it's her first ever flight!
More than a little anxious about Timber's first flight tomorrow! Bless her all cooped up in a crate. She seems very relaxed about it all x
Thinking about fashioning and installing some sort of walkie talkie system between me and the crate, then I can talk to her on the flight! x
"timber this is your captain speaking. Please keep all paws inside the crate and all times,Refreshments will be served in the bowl"
"no iPods during take off or landing, I know what your like! If you need anything just bark. Enjoy the flight" x

Dog lovers everywhere are swooning right now. Heck, I'm not even a dog lover but I'm considering becoming one for Tom Felton. And, because no post complete without a photo, here is a picture of Tom's dog taken on a nice winter's day.

@TomFelton Lovely morning for a crisp Christmas morning walk. I Have sacrificed my scarf to a higher purpose :) x

Harry Potter Wins PCA And Daniel Radcliffe Hosts SNL

At the 2012 People's Choice Awards, the final movie of the Harry Potter franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II, won four awards including: Favorite Movie, Action Movie, Ensemble Cast, and Book Adaptation.

Interestingly enough, despite the four Harry Potter stars nominated in the under 25 category: Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and Tom Felton; the award went to the fifth nominee, Chloe Moretz. Well, you can't win them all. I suppose I'm glad none of the Harry Potter stars beat out the others because no one wants to see in-house fighting. Sadly, none of the fabulous four nominated attended the event and thus there are no photos from the event. Therefore, I'll just post this old Twitter picture of Tom Felton and Daniel Radcliffe from last summers U.S. promotions of DHPII.

Speaking of Daniel Radcliffe, did you all catch him hosting Saturday Night Live this last weekend? Thank Hulu, for Hulu, so you can easily watch the full episode and catch the Harry Potter jokes that will NEVER get old.

Highlights from the episode: 10 year epilogue featuring a stuck-in-the-past Harry Potter caught up in his glory days at Hogwarts, Buggy the cashier obsessed Target employee, and the You Can Do Anything sketch which accurately describes the problems with this generations self-obsessed children (yay us!). You can also catch Daniel Radcliffe kissing homeless bozos in a game of spin the bottle.

I can't get over how well adjusted and grateful the cast of Harry Potter is, makes me love the franchise even more.

In some other news, I've been obsessively dueling on Pottermore and am now ranked 8 in Gryffindor house, HOLLA!

Don't pretend like you aren't impressed.

Two Degrees Of Separation: Tom Felton

Me -> Jason Isaacs -> Tom Felton

Ok, I realize technically that connection doesn't count because I don't know Jason Isaacs I just got a really great close up view of him at a panel, but I don't care. I love my life.

Remember that time I posted from Comic-Con about the new NBC series Awake, starring Jason Isaacs? Let me refresh your mems:

The Awake panel was great, despite the noticeable absence of Tom Felton. We got to watch the pilot episode and it was great. Jason Isaacs plays a man lost between dream and reality when he is in an accident that kills his wife and/or son. He lives to lives, one in which his wife is killed and son survives, and the other in which his son is killed and wife survives. Unable to tell which is dream and which is reality, he struggles to come to terms with his situation. When he falls asleep in one life, he wakes up in the other. Meanwhile, he goes back to work as a detective and must see a psychiatrist to help him deal with the grief. The only problem is that he has a different psychiatrist in each life and both have very compelling arguments on why their storyline is real and the other a dream.

The show was quite exciting and compels you to watch more to find out where the line separating dream and reality exists.

Now you can watch the ah-maze-ing trailer for the show and get sucked into the story just as I did:

I've had it running for about the past 30 minutes on repeat in another window, this is my new obsession.

Teen Choice Awards 2011

The west coast feed just concluded, so now its time for some highlights from the TCA...

1) Fergie's look of disgust when hubby, Josh Duhamel, lost to Ashton Kutcher for Choice Movie Actor: Romantic Comedy. I love how the cameras always pan to losers after a winner is announced. You'd think people would be better prepared for that and hold their composure.

2) Ashton Kutcher's adivce to teens during his acceptance speech, "Don't ever charge anything on a credit card if you don't already have the money in the bank to pay for it." Truth. I wish more people had told me that. Also, I think high schools should be required to teach basic home economics to ALL students because I could have used some of that to prepare for the real world. Balancing a check book, using a stove, washing your clothes, etc. I know people that I went to college with who did not have these skills.

3) Seeing Taylor Swift and Ashley Greene seated next to each other during Emma Stone's presentation of Taylor Swift as "Ultimate Choice." And those two were acting like friends, hugging and holding hands. I bet the two and Demi Lovato have an "Exes of Joe Jonas" club; of course, Camilla Belle is probably not invited to that club.

4) Ellen Degeneres winning the award for Choice Comedian. I love that woman, and her wife, they are so funny. I'm declaring them my favorite lesbian couple.

5) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 taking the award for Choice Movie: Sci-Fi/Fantasy. Take that Twilight: Eclipse, you can't win them all. Here is a freindly picture of Tom Felton and Robert Pattinson at the TCA.

Changing the subject to something I don't understand, let's talk about Justin Bieber. I get that he has some talent and I totally have him on a mix CD in my car stereo (his song is strategically placed right after Selena Gomez's song, Rock God), but I totally don't understand his "white-boy thug" persona going on and his walking like he literally has a stick up his butt. Is that what teen girls are into these days?

Who was our generations Justin Bieber?

LA Just Got A Little Cooler

Thank you Tom Felton for giving me something more to dream about.

The man who I might as well dedicate this blog to has arrived in LA. I know not how long this stay will be nor do I know why he is in LA, what I do know is that after a poopy (that's right, I said it!!) day at work I could use some news like this.

Yes, I am aware that there are hundreds (well, thousands) of celebrities in LA at any given moment, but that doesn't stop me from celebrating.

Unfortunately, I doubt Mr. Hogwarts will make it to the 909 in the next day, and I doubt he'll come deliver pizza to me while I am stuck at a job I mostly loathe, BUT there is a glimmer of hope in my heart that maybe, just maybe, Tom Felton will make an appearance in San Diego at Comic-Con. There is an Awake (staring Jason Isaacs-- aka Lucius Malfoy) panel on Thursday that I hope to visit and I beleive that would be a perfect time to see the father-son duo! Oh dreams, how you both lift me up in hope and tearing me down in disappointment.

As a sidenote: In n Out is food SOOO overrated. Baker's all the way!!!!!!!

Tom Felton Appreciates Where He Came From

The Harry Potter posts continue!

This is partially because I realize this may be the only chance I have to do so since the movie franchise is now complete, but also because the series has kind of been a big part of my life. I've seen Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, twice already and I am confident there will be many more movie watches and book readings as I refuse to say good-bye. I secretly dreamed of being an extra in one of the movies or in at least experiencing the hype and mayhem of a movie premiere, and yet all those dreams have been officially shattered. It is ok though, because I can live vicariously through the stars thanks to Twitter.

Tom Felton
recently shared a picture of him and original Harry Potter director, Chris Columbus. Tom had kind words to say about the man who directed the first two movies of the record shattering franchise.
i have everything to thank this guy for, chris was responsible for me being part of this epic journey x
I greatly appreciate that the stars seem very grateful for the experience they have had through the franchise, and it says a lot that the original cast has kept at it through the whole journey. The general lack of drama and scandal from the cast has been quiet refreshing and only adds to the appeal of the franchise.

In a semi related note, Tom also posted this picture of himself at a Five Guys Restuarant.
I'm waiting and waiting but no one has come to pick me up
And by semi-related note, I mean I had Five Guys for lunch today after a morning spent at the theatre watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Clearly, Tom and I are like meant for each other. Gah, I like this fellow. Alas, he is happily in a longterm relationship with a woman named Jade. Yet another dream of mine shattered. If you are interested in seeing her, she plays SPOILER ALERT wife to Draco in the epilogue of the series (that role came after thier relationship began, though I think I read on imdb that they did meet on set of an earlier HP movie).

Tom Felton Surprises Fans With Pizza

I love me some Tom Felton. Despite his 10-year run as Harry Potter's nemesis, Draco Malfoy, Tom has proven himself to be a pretty stand-up guy. Remember that time he talked me out of hating Twi-Hards for the recent MTV Movie Award disappointment? Well, earlier this week he proved himself once again to be a delightful fella' when he surprised some fans in New York with pizza. The fans were camping out along the streets of New York, hoping to catch a glimpse of the Harry Potter stars when they were quiet pleasantly surprised.

How I envy those fans.

Most of the cast of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 have been stateside for the New York premiere and American promotion-fest. Too bad all the action is in New York, on the inferior American coast (I speak in jealousy and rage). Fortunately, stars like Tom Felton are kind enough to keep us all in the loop via his Twitter feed!

Of delivering the pizza, Tom tweeted: "hope everyone who camped out is ok! sorry i couldn't get pizzas to all of you i was getting told to leave!x" He later added "i enjoyed my role as pizza delivery boy last night!"

Tom also shared this picture of him and Daniel Radcliffe (and Rupert in the background) with the caption: "Myself and Radcliffe after the show! Sad to be parting ways!"
It's got to be weird to think that next year there won't be a crazy media fest or another movie that will bring this group together again. I liken it to when I moved out of Berkeley and realized there would be no more dinners at The Castle or late nights/early mornings spent studying by the fireplace. Change can be so sad.

I feel your sadness, Harry Potter cast.

Tom Felton Celebrates Twilight Wins

Oh Tom Felton, how I swoon for you.

Just after I get done huffing and puffing over the disappointing losses of Harry Potter at the MTV Movie Awards, I notice he has posted on Twitter
Tom Felton: also lovely hp fans lets be happy for twilight for all there wins, it doesn't need to get all competitive, they are very well deserving!

Now, grammar jokes aside (as AJ put it "there/their/they're is Engli-versal") he is totally adorable for downplaying any competitive spirit between the two franchises. Yes, yes, the actors are all hard working and deserving of recognition for their work.

Also, I should point out that the awards are fan voted, so clearly the Harry Potter fans (myself included) did not adequately support the franchise. We'll get them next year.

Harry Potter Don't Get No Love From MTV

It has been many years since I felt a desire to watch anything on MTV, for this reason it should not surprise me that the list of winners at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards last night is rather disappointing. However, I still choose to be angry. Can we all just please agree that the Harry Potter franchise is far superior to the Twilight franchise? As I've said before, I closetly enjoy the Twilight books, and I did spend some 20 hours in Westwood in Novemeber 2009 to catch the red carpet premiere of New Moon (see picture above), but I still admit Harry Potter has more storyline, excitement, and general entertainment to offer.

So why did Harry Potter lose in every category it was against Twilight? The only HP win was for Mr. Tom Felton who won in the category of Best Villain, a category which was void of any Twilight nominees. Oh MTV viewers, how you continue to strip me of any hope for a decent future in cinema.

Despite the no-love reception at the MTV Movie Awards, fans were treated to a new sneak peek of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part II.

And here is a previously released trailer, for your additional enjoyment

As an aside, they also premiered the new trailer for Breaking Dawn, Part I, at the MTV Movie Awards and I admit I enjoyed it.
