I love me some Tom Felton. Despite his 10-year run as Harry Potter's nemesis, Draco Malfoy, Tom has proven himself to be a pretty stand-up guy. Remember that time he talked me out of hating Twi-Hards for the recent MTV Movie Award disappointment? Well, earlier this week he proved himself once again to be a delightful fella' when he surprised some fans in New York with pizza. The fans were camping out along the streets of New York, hoping to catch a glimpse of the Harry Potter stars when they were quiet pleasantly surprised.
How I envy those fans.
Most of the cast of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 have been stateside for the New York premiere and American promotion-fest. Too bad all the action is in New York, on the inferior American coast (I speak in jealousy and rage). Fortunately, stars like Tom Felton are kind enough to keep us all in the loop via his Twitter feed!
Of delivering the pizza, Tom tweeted: "hope everyone who camped out is ok! sorry i couldn't get pizzas to all of you i was getting told to leave!x" He later added "i enjoyed my role as pizza delivery boy last night!"
Tom also shared this picture of him and Daniel Radcliffe (and Rupert in the background) with the caption: "Myself and Radcliffe after the show! Sad to be parting ways!"
It's got to be weird to think that next year there won't be a crazy media fest or another movie that will bring this group together again. I liken it to when I moved out of Berkeley and realized there would be no more dinners at The Castle or late nights/early mornings spent studying by the fireplace. Change can be so sad.
I feel your sadness, Harry Potter cast.

Video: Tom Hanks on Toddlers and Tiaras
I'm gonna pretend that this is the only celebrity news blog you read and so sometimes, like now, I might decide to post "old news" because it has resurfaced in my life or because I was never exposed to it since this is the only blog I read.
So here is a hilarious video that premiered on Jimmy Kimmel in February of Tom Hanks doing a parody to Toddlers & Tiaras.
"It feels like a Bratz doll! Ohhhh, you look just like a Bratz doll!"
"Sweet pretty losers, every one of them."
I love Tom Hanks. He is one of only a small number of actors in Hollywood who has not disappointed me with sex scandals, family drama, or bad movie after bad movie. When your great movies out number your horrible movies, you are doing alright in my book. Keep doing that thing you do (<- obvious reference to one of my top three favorite Tom Hanks movies). It also helps that he grew up in the Bay Area and attended Skyline High School in OAK-land!

It All Ends
The countdown to the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is by far the most exciting thing in my life right now. I swear, everytime I turn on the TV there is a new preview for the movie and with each preview my excitement for the movie grows.
I've already re-read the books and re-watched the movies, and yet with each preview I feel a little less prepared for the end. The countdown both excites and terrifies me. I remember when book 7 came out and the sorrow that followed my completion of the text. The only thing that got me through the pain was knowing that the movies weren't complete so the end was still several years away. "I'll just leave that sorrow for future Cindy to deal with."
AHHH!!! Future Cindy isn't ready for it to all be over!!!

Harry Potter Don't Get No Love From MTV
It has been many years since I felt a desire to watch anything on MTV, for this reason it should not surprise me that the list of winners at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards last night is rather disappointing. However, I still choose to be angry. Can we all just please agree that the Harry Potter franchise is far superior to the Twilight franchise? As I've said before, I closetly enjoy the Twilight books, and I did spend some 20 hours in Westwood in Novemeber 2009 to catch the red carpet premiere of New Moon (see picture above), but I still admit Harry Potter has more storyline, excitement, and general entertainment to offer.
So why did Harry Potter lose in every category it was against Twilight? The only HP win was for Mr. Tom Felton who won in the category of Best Villain, a category which was void of any Twilight nominees. Oh MTV viewers, how you continue to strip me of any hope for a decent future in cinema.
Despite the no-love reception at the MTV Movie Awards, fans were treated to a new sneak peek of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part II.
And here is a previously released trailer, for your additional enjoyment
As an aside, they also premiered the new trailer for Breaking Dawn, Part I, at the MTV Movie Awards and I admit I enjoyed it.

Taylor Swift Premieres New 'Mean' Video
Taylor Swift is back in America and gearing up for the sold-out Speak Now US Tour.
You know what that means?
Well, it means a lot of things, but for the purpose of this post it means that she is releasing new singles and premiering new music videos! She shot two videos back in April, and yesterday CMT premiered the first of the two, "Mean."
I love so many of the songs off Speak Now because they explore new sounds and genres; it is so nice to have an album of 12-13 songs that don't sound identical. "Mean" features Taylor Swift on banjo, and demonstrates Taylor's (and her bands) ability to tackle bluegrass. Always relevant and relate-able, this new tune, aptly titled, is a song about people who have bullied or mistreated the singer. With the opening line "You, with your words like knives and swords and weapons that you use against me. You, have knocked me off my feet again and got me feeling like a nothing," Taylor goes on to say that regardless of how mean you are to me:
I love it. I sing it aloud in my car to the guys who have burned me and the friends who have abandoned me. It gives me a feeling of sweet satisfaction. Also, it seriously encourages me to do something great so they'll regret ever hurting me.
They'll rue the day!

Selena Gomez Debuts 'Who Says' Video
Justin Bieber's lady friend, Selena Gomez debuted the video for her new single, Who Says, on the Disney Channel this weekend.
I don't mean to be a total Disney-teeny bopper with so many posts relating to Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, and Miley Cyrus; I feel like a Disney whore. But, you know, they are kind of all over the place so I can't help it. Besides, don't act like you don't spend your vacations catching up on Wizards of Waverly Place or Sonny With A Chance.
Back to Ms. Gomez. The newest track from Selena Gomez and The Scene is a bubble gum catchy tune to all the haters. In a similar realm as Katy Perry's 'Firework' song, Selena's song is jam packed with self-esteem building lyrics like the opening, "I wouldn't want to be anybody else" and chorus opener, "I'm no beauty queen, I'm just beautiful me." It's a good song, one that I will no doubt be humming for the next month.
The video features Selena walking out on a photoshoot and continuing barefoot down the streets of LA and along the LA River Basin (aka the drainage canal). She then takes a taxi to the beach where she changes into some more beach appropriate clothes (long tank top, cut-offs, and tennis shoes) and joins her band for a show on the beach. Check it out for yourself below.

Taylor Swift Returns From Asia
Taylor Swift recently returned from Asia where she embarked on her world tour. She has yet to comment on Adam Young's Valentine song to Taylor, but in true Taylor Swift fashion, she has put together a vlog of her Asian trip to share with her fans.

Taylor Swift and Owl City's Adam Enchant Eachother
Taylor Swift no longer names names when it comes to song muses; however, she does leave subtle hints for the guy. It was speculated that Adam Young of Owl City was the subject of the song 'Enchanted' off Taylor Swift's album 'Speak Now' and Adam has just about confirmed those rumors by writing a song to Taylor Swift.
In a blog post on Owl City's website, Adam writes:
"I decided to record something for you -- as sort of a 'reply' to the breathtaking song on your current record. This is what I wanted so badly to tell you in person but could never quite put into words."
Adam goes on to pour out some lovely compliements including: "You're an immensely charming girl with a beautiful heart and more grace and elegance than I know how to describe." And then closes his letter to Taylor by quoting her own song "I was enchanted to meet you too."
The song mimics Taylor's original, but includes some Taylor inspired lyrics like: "You were all of my dreams come true / and I just wish you knew / Taylor I was so in love with you."
Umm...adorable much?! Taylor is currently with her band (pictured above in Tokyo) on her Asain Tour, but I hope we see these two together when she gets back, how cute would that be?
To hear the song and read the full message to Taylor check out the Owl City site, here.
The new Owl City album is scheduled for release May 24, what a great way to celebrate my quarter-century.

an early Valentine's Day gift from Hanson
Every chance I get, I like to share some Hanson love. Here is a video from MTV Clutch in which Hanson offers some advice on love:
Firstly, I want you all to stop thinking of Mmmbop everytime you read the name or see the guys of Hanson. While that catchy little tune did shoot them to stardom in 1997, they actually have MORE songs. More songs, and BETTER songs. Case in point:
Secondly, stop thinking to yourself (or blurting outloud) "Ohhh...I didn't know they got back together." Hanson never fell apart. They have been consistently making music since 1997.
Lastly, didn't they grow up to be some good looking lads?

Princess Ke$ha
Ke$ha tweeted the above photo last night about her new Funny or Die video.
The video premiered today and features Ke$ha as a Disney Princess complete with a posse of critters. Ke$ha looks quite different (ie clean) in the first 20 seconds of the video, but she quickly gives up the clean-cut look for something trashier. However, any celebrity who is capable, and willing to laugh at themselves is ok in my book.

Selena Gomez wants it that way
Selena Gomez, current (maybe?) girlfriend of Justin Bieber, enjoyed an evening of singing along to the classic BSB tune, I Want It That Way, with her band. I really enjoy knowing that celebrities have a blast doing stupid, fun things with their friends, just like the rest of us.
Here is the video Miss Gomez posted today:
