Demi Lovato has ended her stay in rehab and was spotted out and about in Santa Monica. No official statement has been made regarding her plans post-rehab. I for one love Sonny With A Chance, so I hope returning for season three is in her plans. How is that show even going to make it with the title star, Sonny?
She has been in rehab since late-October 2010 when some event on tour (rumor has it, a fight) sent Demi packing her bags mid-tour. Demi has kept quiet since she checked-in, only taking to facebook once to thank fans for her People's Choice Award: "I wish to thank all the friends and fans who voted for me for the People's Choice Awards and the Hot Hits Hottest Teen Stars of 2010. I want to make sure my fans know how thankful I am for all their love, support and prayers during this difficult time. Thank you for standing beside me through it all."
It breaks my heart that she was checking into rehab at 18 years of age, but hopefully she is coming out a stronger individual. I'm looking forward to new music, shows, and movies. She presents herself as very appreciative, good-humored, and mature. Everyone makes mistakes, but how they handle those mistakes is really what counts. I just hope that she continues to set a good-example to her young fans.
Here is a twitpic from late-October.

Twitter Round-Up: Tom Felton is dashing
Will Farrell, the next Michael Scott?
I'm sure the news that Steve Carell is leaving The Office has been painful. Probably not as painful as watching Scott's Tots, but at least as upsetting as Jim moving to Stamford. Unfortunately, Jim returned to Scranton after only a short time away, I doubt Mr. Carell will be returning after his departure.
On the upside, Will Farrell will be joining the cast of The Office for at least a four episode arc. This news comes just after it was announced that Steve Carell would not be staying on through the end of the season, but will be departing sometime in April. I'm not sure how the show will survive without it's key component. Throwing Will Farrell on seems like a desperate effort to keep viewership going. That being said, I think Will Farrell is hilarious and will most likely tune in to the episodes, so game well played NBC.
What are your thoughts on the changes, can The Office make it without its biggest star?

Princess Ke$ha
Ke$ha tweeted the above photo last night about her new Funny or Die video.
The video premiered today and features Ke$ha as a Disney Princess complete with a posse of critters. Ke$ha looks quite different (ie clean) in the first 20 seconds of the video, but she quickly gives up the clean-cut look for something trashier. However, any celebrity who is capable, and willing to laugh at themselves is ok in my book.

Selena Gomez wants it that way
Selena Gomez, current (maybe?) girlfriend of Justin Bieber, enjoyed an evening of singing along to the classic BSB tune, I Want It That Way, with her band. I really enjoy knowing that celebrities have a blast doing stupid, fun things with their friends, just like the rest of us.
Here is the video Miss Gomez posted today:

NKOTBSB and Fenway
I'm not ashamed to admit that I love me some Backstreet Boys. While many of my peers grew apart from the boy bands 10 years ago, I have a love that is loyal. So, in case your boy-band radar is broken, the New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) and the Backstreet Boys (BSB) are embarking on a great boy band expedition this year, the NKOTBSB tour. I'm not really sure what happened to the other B, but I am none the less thrilled about this tour. Can you even imagine what kind of crazy is gonna let loose when you get a group of overly dedicated boy man-band chasers together in one place? It's gonna be insane!
The big news, however, is that NKOTBSB will be taking the show to Fenway. As a California girl, and one who is not interested in baseball in any state, I can not understand the significance of performing at Fenway. However, the multitude of excited tweets from the guys of NKOTB (Boston natives) tells me that this is a big announcement and a dream come true for these kids. The announcement was made today, sans-AJ who is doing some R&R at the local rehab center; he has got to make sure he is top quality for the tour. I can appreciate the preventative measure he is taking, especially since his first trip to rehab conflicted with my plans to see the boys perform.
Anyways, there are two shows scheduled, one for June 11 and a possible second for 12. Tickets go on sale Feb. 5!

Avril Lavigne is back, What the Hell
I give you Avril's common-folk doppelganger, Jessica:
The music video for Avril Lavigne's latest single, What the Hell, has hit the internet. The song is a typical sounding Avril Lavigne song with a pop/rock sound, nothing new for Ms. Lavigne. At first listen I didn't like the song because it was so familiar. However, the repetition of the song on the radio has made it semi-enjoyable. Avril is good at catchy punk-rock/pop tunes, there is no shame in admitting that. There is a glimmer of hope that the song, and the subsequent album will feature a more "grown-up" theme while maintaining the typical-Avril sound. She's come along way since Let Go. Although, if her current choice in men is considered, I'd say maybe she has done the opposite of grow up in all this. I just can't take Brody Jenner seriously...
What do you think of the new song and the post-divorce Avril?

greedy + celebrities =
On Saturday Angel and I went to the Red Dog Squadron production of Karl Gajdusek's greedy. The play is running January 8-January 29 at The El Centro Theatre, if you are LA-based and looking for something to do I recommend checking out the play. Truthfully, Angel and I went because, as dedicated Psych fans, it seemed only natural for us to drop cash on an opportunity to see James Roday, the director of greedy, in the flesh. We-and by we I mean, I- also prayed that Dulé Hill would go to the theatre that night so our my Psych fantasies could come true.
Fortunately, dreams did come true that night. The performance was better than expected. Although I was left with some unanswered questions pertaining to character development, the overall performance of the actors was good. The intimate feeling that the tiny theatre provided also added to the positive expereince. But really, the play could have been a total bomb and I still would have been happy with my decision to go on account of the high percentage of celebs in attendance.
Mr. Dulé Hill was in attendance with his beautiful wife Nicole Lyn.
Kurt Fuller performed as Paul in the production.
Jonathan Silverman and wife Jennifer Finnigan attended.
Maggie Lawson performed as Kiera in the production.
And, of course, James Roday directed the performance. He is looking very hairy these days.
Angel and I could totally hang with them, look how comfy we look.
I loves them.
