Happy New Year!

I realize it is already MLK Jr. Day and thus the new year is already 16 days begun, but remember, it is never too late for a new start.

January = awards shows!

That's right, it is that time of the year where celebrities congregate in one place thus forcing us normal looking people into a spiral of diminishing self-esteem. On the bright side, it is also that awkward time of the year when you learn who really is a good/bad actor/actress based on the reaction to winning and/or losing an award. That was a lot of back slashes, my apologies.

To begin this wonderful season of designer dresses, fake smiles, and horrid diets, check out this slideshow of Tweets from celebs at the 2012 Golden Globes last night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Rest assured, it is actually filled with more star-struck moments, real smiles, and photo bombs than that other depressing stuff.

Now, have you ever wondered what one does after winning a People's Choice Award?

The obvious answer might be, party it up at the after-parties! However, for Nina Dobrev, the PCA winner for Favorite TV Drama Actress for her role in The Vampire Diaries, the answer is grab a burger on the way out of town to get back to work. Poor girl had to be back in Georgia for filming and didn't even have time to change before hopping on a plane out of Los Angeles.
Notice how her dress matches the new layout of the website, nice!

As for Demi Lovato, my favorite little pop artist, she headed to Vegas the next morning where she then took a helicopter to the Grand Canyon.
It was a "so random" day for her (get it, So Random! hahaha, I crack myself up).

The best news from the People's Choice Awards is that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II walked away a big winner! More on Harry Potter and Daniel Radcliffe coming soon :)

  1. Who were your hit and misses for dresses? Also, I would have to strongly agree with your retweet about Kim and Kate never being in the same sentence again.

  2. I'm not really a fan of Nina's dress in this picture because it bulges awkwardly, but on the red carpet I loved it. I mean, how can I not love it when it is a beautiful green.

    I think Emma Stone wins for best dressed even though she went for a more casual look, I think she looked the most comfortable and I LOVE the green. I thought Lea Michele looked greated, Demi Lovato picked a red-carpet dress that absolutely looks great on her body, and Chloe Moretz looked classy and beautiful in a very age-appropriate black and green (loving the green choices) Proenza Schouler dress.

    Worst dressed goes to Jennifer Goodwin in that Pepto-bismol pink dress, Ashley Green in her black leather dress, Kelly Osbourne who has questionable taste for someone on the "Fashion Police" and Lucy Hale's asymmetrical black gown that should be either full length or mini, not both.
